What We've Been Building
A preview of CounterCtrl Cloud, and the five modules it's built around.
Tomorrow we're formally introducing CounterCtrl Cloud, but it's worth saying plainly what it is before the announcement: a retail intelligence platform built with regional grocery operators, not delivered to them from a distance.
That distinction matters more than it sounds like it should. Software built for an industry from outside it tends to solve the version of the problem that looks clean in a slide deck. Software built with the people running stores every day ends up shaped by the actual friction they deal with — the mismatched report formats, the numbers that don't agree with each other, the exception list nobody has time to read.
CounterCtrl Cloud is organized around five modules that map to that friction directly. Sales gives store, department, and item-level performance with comparison built into every view. Loss Prevention analyzes register behavior at the transaction and cashier level to surface patterns instead of listing exceptions. Orders tracks what was ordered against what actually arrived. Weekly Performance turns the rhythm every operator already runs into something that's ready before the meeting starts instead of assembled during it. Coupons reconciles promotional redemption against real unit movement.
None of these exist as standalone tools bolted together. They read from the same underlying data, defined the same way, so a number in one module means the same thing in another.
The mission behind all five is a plain one: simplify retail operations by transforming data into actionable intelligence that helps our customers make better decisions every day.
Tomorrow, the full story of why we built it.
